Who is responsible
Specter Apps Inc operates Protegy and is responsible for the processing described in this policy. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to the support address below.
Information we process
The website uses Google Analytics 4. It may process pages viewed, interactions, referring pages, browser and device information, language, approximate location derived from IP address, and online identifiers or cookies used for measurement.
According to the current App Store disclosure, identifiers may be used for tracking; Device ID may be linked to you for third-party advertising and analytics; usage data may be collected without being linked to you for analytics; and crash data may be collected without being linked to you for app functionality.
Authenticator secrets, generated codes, and password-vault content are designed to remain on your device. If you enable iCloud synchronization, Apple processes synchronized data under your Apple account and its own terms. These protected contents are not intended to be sent to advertising or analytics SDKs.
When VPN functionality is used, technical network information such as IP addresses, connection times, server selection, and traffic required to operate the encrypted tunnel may be processed by the VPN infrastructure. We do not use VPN traffic to build advertising profiles.
Purposes and legal bases
We process information to provide and secure the app, restore purchases, operate subscriptions and VPN connections, diagnose failures, understand product performance, measure campaigns, prevent abuse, comply with law, and improve Protegy. Depending on the context, the legal basis may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with legal obligations.
Sharing and tracking choices
We do not sell password-vault content or authenticator secrets. Information may be shared with Apple, Google or Firebase, Meta, Adapty, analytics, hosting, VPN, support, and professional service providers when needed for the purposes above. Identifier use for cross-company tracking or advertising measurement is subject to applicable consent and Apple tracking-permission requirements.
Retention and international transfers
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, legal obligations, dispute resolution, security, or enforcement. Providers may process information in countries other than your own using contractual and legal transfer safeguards where required.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Certain identifiers and analytics choices can be controlled through iOS privacy settings, Apple tracking permission, cookie controls, or by contacting us.
Children
Protegy is not intended to collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law. Parents or guardians should supervise use where local law requires consent. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data unlawfully.
Security and policy changes
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, but no system is completely secure. We may update this policy when products, providers, or laws change and will publish the revised date on this page.
SDKs and service providers
Protegy uses Firebase, Facebook SDK, Adapty SDK, and Google Analytics. These providers may process device identifiers, app events, diagnostics, attribution information, paywall interactions, purchase or subscription status, and technical device data according to feature use and consent settings. Apple also processes App Store purchases and optional iCloud synchronization.
